This is a "hot potato" topic, and there's a link about it in the farm forum, so I'll just link this news source at the BBC, and add that the technology basically sterilizes seeds: so if you plant TT corn, the seed corn you save for next year will be sterile. This of course makes one very dependent upon a seed company, and there are concerns about cross-pollination and "spreading" the sterilization. At the moment Monsanto has halted this.
