growing lotus outside of pond...

I prefer to have my lotus buried in large tubs outside the pond.
I can fertilize them better and not "green up" my water so much.
I have contemplated having a big lotus bog...but havent yet taken the time. Has anyone else done this ?

I have a few left and after digging "several" holes... :) I would consider trading a couple.

I have a small dwarf lotus "Chawan Basu". I will send you a tuber with at least 2 growing points. Now folks, lotus "aint cheap" :). I am looking for something special for my garden.

I think they would do great in a bog garden! That would be a great way to enjoy them and not have to worry about them "taking over" where they are not wanted. Send us some pics as you get it done. :^)
