Hi all! Recently noticed that I have a few "volunteer" Purple Queen sproutlings in amongst my cilantro ... anyone know if this is a bad thing? Should I remove them? They look very pretty together, but I don't know if the jew will make my cilantro bad to eat.

Sorry, I don't know what 'Purple Queen' is, but generally speaking you can grow inedible plants next to edible ones without one making the other bad to eat.
Hi Critter! You always seem to come to my aide! Purple Queen is what we call the purple version of wandering jew out here in the islands...sorry, habit took over there. I'm only concerned because sometimes in the info on the jew is says that handling it may cause skin irritations or allergic reactions, so I wasn't sure how it would affect the cilantro. But they really look nice together....when I get a few more inches of growth I will post a pic.
I can't imagine that the wandering jew would give off any chemicals that could be taken up by the roots of the cilantro... If you want to be cautious, try a nibble a day or two before you toss cups of cilantro into a big batch of salsa or something...
Maybe sombody from FL or somewhere else where the wandering jew is rampant will be able to advise you with more certainty!
I'll bet it is a pretty combination! :-)
