Optimara is going to stop labeling their plants

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

I was looking to see if I could find out more information about how to register a new AV and I ran across this article that tells why Optimara is not longer going to label their plants. I think that really sucks but what else can we do. So if you are interested, the article can be found here: http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/afrviolet/msg0417180021657.html?37

That post on Gardenfourm was from 2 years ago, April 2005 .... so is that when they quit labeling their AV's? I have a such a difficult time trying to ID them from the Optimara Website by just looking at a photo! But, I thought I read here on a thread not too long ago where someone said you could e-mail Optimara a photo of your plant and they would ID it for you? I kinda give up when they don't have a name on the label. I still find that I just HAVE to buy them if I love the look! Most of mine are Noids anyway, I think I only have 4, maybe 5 named AV's.

Now I'm confused because I just bought 7 new AVs and 5 have Optimara written on them and two have Anthoflores written on them. Aren't they both the same company or are the two the same company but different kinds of violets?

Oops. Never mind my last question. I just found out that Anthoflores is another company. I've never had any by them before and was thinking of Everfloris, not Anthoflores.

I haven't ever heard of Anthoflores .... wonder if they have an on line site like Optimara? I'm off to check

I did not about them either but found them on the net. Here is their URL: http://www.harstergreenhouses.com/Index.htm
