If I missed the thread on this please redirect me What is the Texas experience on Salvia guaranitica "Black and Blue" as well as "Argentine Skies"?
Black and Blue (Salvias not bruises)
Argentine skies does really well for me.
And for me too, very strong and reliable and blooms most of the time. It dies to the ground in winter here, but comes back strong and beautiful.
Josephine.
I looked up both in plantfiles. It seems that Argentine is well behaved. Do you tink it would grow in am shade and afternoon west sun?
Yes, I have mine in different situations and it works great everywhere.
My black and blue does very well in am sun and afternoon shade. I love it and plant to get a few more this spring.
My Salvia guarantica that I planted last spring has come back. Atleast 2 of them did. So I'll be looking for atleast one more. It must be a tough plant to survive my yard. I didn't pamper it at all.
Tx for the feedback. Sounds like a winner.I was trying to fill out the form from World of Salvias, with no luck. Well, even the computer whiz at my house could download the order form but it couldn't be fill out.. I will order the old fashion way. That's different!
