nurseries in Waco area?

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

I may be making a trip towards Waco on Sunday and was wondering if there were any nurseries I could hit along the way. Does anyone know of anything in that direction? I'd be heading north from Bryan.

Thanks, Kim

I know a good one just east of Temple, but it would add 30 miles to your trip either going or coming from Waco. It's Cen-Tex Nursery and located at 3220 FM 2086. http://maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?addr=3220+FM+2086&csz=Temple%2C+TX&country=us&new=1&name=&qty= I had time just to scratch the surface when I was there in the fall, and I'm planning a trip back when Robert has appointments at Scott & White in April. Hope you enjoy your week-end and come home with lots of new plants!

Thanks patricia.....that doesn't seem too far out of the way. I just figured if I was going to spend the time driving all the way up there I'd might as well check out some plants! Lol....

There is a large nursery on hwy 6 just north of Waco called Speegleville Nursery, Storm's Nursery at China Springs. Not sure of the road but it is whatever n. 19th in Waco turns into, Greenlife is on New Road in Waco, A couple of Westview Nurseries. One is on Valley Mills Dr and the other is on Hwy 84 west., Organic Plus is at the intersection of hwy 6 and 185 a few miles past Speegleville Nursery. There are several more fairly large ones but I am not sure if they have their spring plants in yet.

Hope you have a safe trip.
