I have been looking for this one since I saw it last year in a nursery but it was not for sale. The owner didn't know its name but I searched around online till I found the name. Then the other day I walked into a gift shop and there it was outside for sale with about 4 other plants. I grabbed it!
You should have said something! I bought one from one of the bromeliad clubs at the USF Botanical Gardens big sale. My mom thought it was cool and so do I. I don't have any other bromeliads quite like it. Glad you found it!

Yup, USF (University of South Florida) is in Tampa. Is that the "Reverse Ensign"? I don't think I've seen that one expcept in photos.
