Hi Pond Mavens,
I'm newish to this so please bear with me. Will you help me with a few questions? I'll number them for easier reading.
1) My orange female koi looks about to pop! You can see dark eggs in her sides from a top view! Will they spawn by water temp / hours of sunlight / ???. ( I want to keep a close eye on them so I can put the eggs in a separate place.)
2) The pond is dirty.....suspended algae. Should I clean it now or wait until after they spawn?
3) My plants are still dormant so I put a Dollar Store Cheerleader Pom Pom in there. The fish seem to like sitting fairly still, in the pom pom at the surface. Do they need more oxygen? Getting ready to spawn? Sunbathing???? (they swim around if I walk up to the pond).
I think that's it for now......any helpful advice is sincerely appreciated!

And by the way....today is the day! When I got home from work I fround the fish thrashing through the pom-pom like clownfish through an anemone! It's beginning to get dark, so I'll check the pond in the morning....yipee!
