Nice...I just bought ten new varieties of tillandsia and attached them to a small oak tree I have out back. I'll have to get out there this weekend to take some pictures to share with everyone.

I am curious about these; I was wondering if they actually just grow on the tree without any soil or rooting material? Do they favor any certain type of tree? Thanks for the info....I think Im going to start looking for some of these. Maybe someone will have some to trade or for postage

Anaid, they do in fact just grow on trees. The most common tillandsia you would know is Spanish moss. Below is a pic I took of a native tillandsia growing in a local park. The roots are just there to hold on. They don't hurt the trees in any way. Here in Florida they mostly grow on oaks or cypress trees.
