Rooted basil cuttings

Richland, WA(Zone 7b)

Here are some nicely rooted cuttings of my Greek Columnar Basil. I just shipped some to 2 people who wanted some. It will be interesting to see how they make the trip.

I like your little propagation chamber! Are you using a bubbler or anything in the water, or is this just a more tidy approach than when I cram a bunch of cuttings into a glass of water?

This was a thrift shop find- I think it's purpose was to use for floral arrangements- no bubbler- just tap water and most of the time great results.

I can't believe my basils rooted in water in less than a week. Definitely know what to do when they get leggy now! Go forth and multiply! My kind of plant - loves the heat, roots quickly in a plain old glass of water - and tasty, too!

These were started from seed, but here's a link to my web page with some basil photos...

Happy Basil, Everyone!
