Just to say HI

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

No time to go into alot of detail...sitting in a hot Internet Cafe in hot Puerto Princessa and I am hot!!! Jst to say HI. We just came back from a 4 hour drive to Quezon....found H. imbricata, H. diversifolia growing all over the place....and another we can't ID...but will soon. This is SO darn much fun. Spent time with Monina Siar (Siariae) in Manilla... Now we are in the bush. Really having a blast...learning so much. It is full on dry season so everything is dry and dusty...Hoyas look baked on the trees. Man...these weeds are TOUGH!!!

Will write a report with photos when I get bgack..with pictures... Hope you are all thawing out there!!!

Love to all, carol

HI all...back in Puerto Princessa with two more side trips planned. Were in Sabang for 3 days...4 miles hike in the bush up and down mountains...found one mystery and H. diversifolia...it really is fun!!! Also found a Sarcostemma and some odds and sods of stuff. Photographed an 11' cobra on the road...dying because some blokes chased it out of his house with a machete and killed it. I like dead cobras!!!

Will have photos and a story...miss the chatting...

Later...
