anyone here from Orangeville ON or our area?

Orangeville, ON(Zone 5a)

I've been a member of Dave's for a few years now and I love it - a great source for information - Wondering if there are other locals who are members too .... would love to meet you

Well, there's me! Orangeville is about a 25 to 30 minute drive for me. You have lots of great restaurants in Orangeville, and I like to eat, so I'm there for lunch practically every week! I'd love to meet with you and other local members.

Hi June - I think we connected on Dave's last year - you were just about to buy a digital camera and wanted suggestions. Yes Orangeville does have some great restaurants. Would be happy to show you my gardens and maybe if we keep this thread going we might find some others who live near us.

That's right, you gave me some very helpful information about cameras. I did eventually make a purchase, but I still can't take a good photo despite all the automated features the camera has! Anyhoo, I look forward to meeting you and seeing your garden. Maybe we should wait until the snow has melted and your spring flowers are in action? Are you buried under lake-effect snow at the moment? We only had a light dusting here, but the wind is blowing it around something wicked.

Next Friday, I'm off to the Canada Blooms show for the day. I booked a seat on a tour bus operated by an Alliston travel agency, as I hate long drives, city traffic, and expensive parking. I haven't been to a garden show for years, so it will be a real treat.

Here's the member list for ON. My sister used to live in Orangeville, back in the 70s. She's in Edmonton now. We drive thru there every trip home (Lindsay) and it's a pretty town. Construction was the pits for a while. :)

Judy, I know I said let's wait until we have spring flowers before getting together, but spring is taking way too long to get here. Would you like to meet for lunch some time in the next couple of weeks? We could at least talk about flowers, and if you'd like some indoor cyclamen seedlings I can bring a couple of pots along.
Location:
Orangeville restaurants I have been to recently and liked are: Temptations Teahouse, The White Truffle, One Ninety-nine, and il Corso. However, I'd be happy to try your favourite restaurant, whatever it is. Maybe some members in the Brampton/Mississauga/Etobicoke area might join us, who knows?
When:
I have given up work, but I'm pretty sure you have a job, so you'll have to let me know when you are free. My only restriction is that I can't drive after dark!
