Oh poo, I thought since it said up to a zone 9 that it could work for me. Are they like hostas, they need the cold? I tried hostas for a few years and one by one they all croaked over the winter.

Yes Donna they do need a cold spell. How about I trade zones with you? LOL I'll take your zone 10 any day.
"THAT" is not up for trade at any time. lol I've had my share of living in a cold environment and you can have it. I was born in New York, but was raised here in Calif. since I was 5 yrs. old. This weather is in my blood, more than NY. :-)
DH is retired Air Force, so we have lived all over the US and in many types of zones.
