nice ....I like #6 best

Powder Springs, GA(Zone 7b)

#1 may be 'Bob Hamm'.

#2 looks like U002 (also called manaus for the town it was found in - a cross of two other species).

#3 could be 'bunchii'

#4 and 5 could be anything

#6 may be u485 (or some hybrid)

And #7 looks a lot like 'Sinbad'

Nice finds, by the way.

Here was my begonia buy today. They had it as 'San Miguel' but I told the owner that it wasn't. It looks like some variety of the old beefsteak ('Erythrophylla').

GrowHappy, very nice haul. I really like #5.

Butch, thank you for the IDs. I think yours is a Beefsteak too. The difference I note in yours is that the flower stalks are red and mine are more beige-ish/Pink-ish. Very nice!

There were tags in each pot, but I know from last year's haul that they are mostly WRONG! Butch and Lali helped me ID last year's haul, around this same time. Thanks again!

GH,

Here is my smaller beefsteak ('Erythrophylla') from last year. The blooms last year were almost white. My big one didn't bloom (weird?).

Here is the big one with 'Essie Hunt' trying to survive with the thug (I finally moved EH to a smaller pot).

My blooms look like the ones on your smaller beefsteak. I think this begonia is one of the more forgiving ones in terms of neglect. LOL If you miss a few regular waterings, it doesn't clobber ya over the head for it. Guess that's why I love it so much.:)

Are the leaves on EH in the pic above mature? I'd like to know who big she gets, as she's also been on my "watchlist".
