htop needs prayers

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

I just found out that Htop's Mom passed away Tuesday the Feb 27th. She said she is very sad and misses her terribly already. Hazel spent a lot of time at her Mom's house and was very close to her.

I'm very sad to hear. Htop will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks Knolan. It may be awhile before she makes a post. Her Mom was in the nursing home and caught a cold. She thought the nurses called the dr, but they didn't. They had to take her to the hospital in an ambulance where she stayed 2 weeks. She wanted to die at home, but Hazel's brothers thought she might have a chance of recovering in the hospital, so they wanted her to stay there. Anyway, she said she is devastated and probably exhausted. I am concerned that she'll catch that stomach virus that's going around up here. DD and I had it last week. My FIL caught it 2 weeks ago and wound up with pneumonia and died.

That's so terrible silver about your FIL and Htop's mother. I'm so sorry. Tell her we're thinking of her.

Spring, TX(Zone 9b)

Silver, and htop,

I lost my mom sadly as well several years ago. (I am not the kind to mark dates and times).... I just mark losses.

My heart goes out to both of you. sending healing thoughts to you both. Try not to go to "Regretland"....
it's not productive and is actually DEstructive.

Take solice in knowing your mom and FIL knew they were loved and cherished. God wipes away all tears in Heaven... It's we who are left behind who cry.

Oh, I am so sorry, I know that Hazel worked so hard taking care of her Mom, her brother, and her husband.
Bless her heart she is an angel, took care of everyone even when she needed to be taken care of herself .
God Bless you, my heart goes out to you.
Josephine.

Thanks everybody. Caraboof you are absolutely right about regrets being destructive. If you're always looking back you'll never see what's happening now or coming next. I don't know when the service will be, but I'm sure Hazel will be very busy for some time, and grieving for a long time.

You're right Sylvia. Htop has a huge hole in her life now that she has to fill with something else. I just hope she can take the time to get some therapy from her plants. That's where mine comes from.

Dallas, TX

Marylee you are so right, you can get out there with those plants and times flies so fast. I want to get out there so bad but I am still with the cane most of the time.

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

you'd better be doing those excercises. They'll really help if you'll do them.

Anita, Veronica and Ceejaytown, thank you for your sympathy as I struggle to come to terms with our loss. My Mother would want us to be happy that she is in the presence of all those who are holy, for her reunion with her deceased loved ones and that she is no longer struggling and in pain. Years ago, she had 2 near death experiences and described them to us. I am trying to focus on her descriptions of how wondrous these brief visits to "the other side" were and the tremendous joy she felt while she was not of this world. My family was truly blessed with her return to us both times and for having her until she was 94 years old.

Hazel, it's getting weird here. Remember when I found that out you and my grandmother, who had 10 green thumbs, had the same name a couple of years ago??? You told me that your mother was also named Hazel and we got a little veclemped?? Will, it seems that your Mother and my Grandmother are having a good time together since they both left for their reunion at the same age with the same name.

I just hope Mom, that's what I always called her, doesn't tell your Mom too much about me. ;o)

Kipper, We had a fun time that day. I remember that we talked about your Grandmother being named Hazel. I am sure whatever she has to tell my Mother about you is all good ... well maybe not all of it. :o) Thank you for your note.

Luv ya....Hug ya.....Miss ya, too.

Hazel, did you get over your cold or whatever it was that you had?

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8b)

After about 10 days, I quit having the flu symptoms. But, my ears are still stopped up and I am having great difficulty hearing. Thanks for your concern.

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Sounds like an ear infection waiting to happen. Or maybe already started. Can you get to a dr?

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8b)

I have taken antibiotics for 10 days and it has not helped. It's from allergies because I do not have any pain. I am using a nasal spray, ear drops and allergy tablets.
