I just visited the Bloomlover's site and I am going to order the tiny plants for 2.75 just to be safe. I am not having much luck in growing from leaves yet.......what an awesome site. I did not know that these fantasy blooms have actual names for them..............watch out Cedarnest in our trades (LOL)...I am getting smarter by the minute...
there is also a list of sources in the sticky thread at the top of this forum. It's good to check Gardenwatchdog for recent comments. Have fun! Spring is a good time for ordering plants - even houseplants ;-)
gail, no need to apologize - I was just tagging onto your thread to put in a plug for the Garden Watchdog, and expanding the list a little further ;o)
To add to keyring's thoughts - we agree that it's good to check for recent comments....but it's even better to add comments of your own. We encourage everyone to leave a review each time they buy from a mailorder vendor. Reports of good experiences are just as important (and hopefully more frequent!) than negative experiences.
Bottom line, the Watchdog is only as good as the flow of comments it receives, so be sure to share what you know!
I will do plus I have ordered from so many sites this spring and haven't received them yet. I will make it a point from now on to leave comments with these vendors.
Great reminder! I have ordered from a couple of places and never thought to add my comments regarding my purchases! I will try to remember to do this in the future.

Cedarnest, did you know that the fantasy blooms have names to them??? I saw it on Bloomlovers' site......I have a lot of them that I picked up at either Walmart or Lowe's....just didn't know any more....(I don't mean they are BIG winners...but they are pretty)
Gail,Oh yes there are alot of fantasy bloomers!Some of my favorites are fantasy bloomers.Two tops of wants are Optimara Cezanne and Rembrandt.They are simply to die for. LOL .I am searching for both of them : )

Oh you girls...I'm going to get into trouble looking at these sites!!! At least the leaves don't cost as much as some of the plants on ebay(I mean what they can bid up to). I'll have to wait til later til everyone is gone so I can enjoy. My little ones do like helping me put leaves down, esp my youngest. Thanks for the site info.:)

Thanks for the links - I think :-) Every time I look at one of those, I end up with another "area" to isolate & root. DD told me a while back that it was starting to look like some crazed scientist had moved in. LOL

Gail,By golly that does look alot like Cezanne.I don't think Cezanne has serrated leaves though.I think they are just plain light green with no scalloping.Is the variety number on the pot? It is #744 from the artists pallette series.This is the pic of her from optimara sight.

now my little princess from Walmart doesn't begin to compare with yours.....I was looking and comparing on bloomlovers.....there is a giant difference. I want what your pic is!!! I will keep looking..I think this just means that on some of these sites like bloomlovers that there is a big difference among the same names...
Thats true Gail.I have noticed that alot.Even alot my named ones don't bloom exactly the same everytime.Not drastic different...just kind of subtle different if that makes sense. LOL .I think that is to be expected though.Wish I knew for sure.
