Ipheon Rolf Fieldler

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

I planted these last fall. The blue shade is stunning, but I was a little disappointed at how short it is. The flowers are about 2" above ground. Could it be 1st season blahs, or is this it? Literature said it grows to 6".

That looks like 'Rolf Fieldler' - the petals are more rounded and the leaves a bit wider than the species. I think 2-3" tall is pretty typical.

All of the Ipheions except Alberto Castillo are that height.

hmmm. Will have to get A. Castillo next year. I was just experimenting with R. Fiedler but I see now A.C. would have fit much better in my garden. I guess Telos is the place to get them?
