Back in late December I posted - http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/681557/ - that we had lost our wonderful Golden Retriever Hobbes at the age of 13. It's been a sad but rewarding two months. One of our close friends has been bringing her Golden over for us to babysit - in fact, he comes over again tomorrow! He's such a joy to have over! I can't wait!
My DH was pretty sure he didn't want to get another dog until the fall. I knew the process to get a new (and healthly) Golden would not be a short one so I have been chatting with breeders and gathering info. Well, I found a breeder right here in Richmond that is registered w/ the GRCA who sounds just wonderful! She bred one of her girls a month ago and we just found out she is pregnant! If all goes well, we should have a new addition in late May. I cannot tell you how excited we are! We went out the other night to the pet store and came away with "Golden Retrievers for Dummies". We're goners!
