"My" Cedar Waxwings came back yesterday for another bath!
Several pics to follow
They're Baaaaack!
When I was a kid, living in Colorado, I would watch the Ceder Waxwings lined up on electric wires in front of our house...one would get a berry and pass it to the one next to it and so on and so on, untill the last one ate it....I was about ten years old at the time and I remember reading that they were called the polite birds...Now I have alot of trees with berries on them here in Texas....after devouring the berries, they deposit their droping on my car! Happens about 3 times a year....I no longer enjoy them.......
Thanks for the pics MySharona!!
mySharon, outstanding pics - I love where you have picked up the reflection in the puddle as well as the marvelous birds!
I make it 388 in that first pic on the wires
Resin
Thats amazing! Thanks for sharing your pics with us.
Exciting!!!!! I knew they traveled in groups, but I had no idea it was whole towns of them! What a delight - makes it almost worth going to work, right?
Resin - did you count the one flying in - just to the right of the pole below the wires? That might make it 389!
Resin - I'll take your word for it! LOL!!
I have seen a lot of flocks heading North overhead....but I have also seen some headed South. Maybe those pay more attention to the Weather Channel!
