What Luck : )

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

Happened to stop at Hyvee tonight and my jaw just dropped. They had just gotten a new shipment of 4 huge boxes Named AV's from Optimara in today. They were due in for Valentines Day but the gal said the order had been delayed due to the weather. So anyway they were selling all of them out for $2.00 each.Needless to say I grabbed all I could fit in a flat and am tempted to go back again..Not to bad for just stopping in for a loaf of bread and gallon of milk huh?LOL can't believe I was actually in the right place at the right time for once. What Luck.I bought a Lottery Ticket Too : )

Just beautiful. I love Optimara plants. They are healthy and seem to be able to adjust to a variety of growing conditions. Your choices are wonderful. I especially love the bottom right. What's the name of that one?

Cedar - they are beautiful. You really had quite a treasure find!

So you must tell me, what is the addiction that hits when the nurseries open?

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

Thanks Maureen : ),Oh..about my other addiction..LOL..When the Nurseries open,That Means Its Officially "Spring" In My Neck Of The Woods and my addiction takes a sharp turn from Indoors (av's and houseplants) to Outdoors (Gardening,Patio and Flowerbed Plants) Oh I still love my indoor plants just as much tho so that means spending a whole lot more $ in a really short period of time : )

Northwest, MO(Zone 5a)

Cedar...I'm the same way. Now I am anxiously waiting for spring and summer to arrive. That's when I'll be spending most of my daylight hours outdoors. The african violets will still get taken care of....but not like they do during the winter months.

Cedar, yes I'm the same way. I love plants, outdoors is my first passion. Flowers, playing in the dirt. I can't wait to see my plumerias, roses (my 1st love) daylilys, lilys, iris, morning glorys, lupines, tulips, daffs, etc...

Debsroots - I'm waiting for spring too. And the weatherman said tonight may be the coldest night we have had this winter.....brr.... Florida, here I come :-)
