As if I didn't have enough going on around here.............and along comes this "bummer" lamb whose mother had to go off and die for some unknown reason! :( Now, "CoCo" is my bottle-baby who thinks I'm her new mother! LOL She literally follows me around like a little puppy would. She is too cute and already spoiled rotten! :-)

What interesting coloring on that lamb. I don't think I have ever seen anything like that before on a lamb.

Our neighbor has a couple new black lamb in the field. I saw them for the first time this morning. They can't be more than a few days old.

Thank you...........she really is colored very oddly. She was obviously sent to me for a reason! :-) She was three days old in that pic and now she is three weeks old. She now loves to graze on my weeds around the windmill and follows me around everywhere I go outside. She seems to really like my tiny toy poodles...........she was in the house a lot when she was their size! I guess she can relate.
I would love to have another one to bottle feed, so that she would have some company. I know she must get terribly lonely.

We need more pictures. :)

That I can do ~ ~ ~ here is Coco today after a few weeks of her surrogate momma bottle feeding her. :-) I have to leave her own her leash to graze on weeds, or else the little toot will literally follow right back inside the house and stay at the back door "crying" to come in.

Here's another one today of my baby Coco. She is so spoiled!

Wow, she sure grew a lot in a few short weeks! I can just hear the refrain of "Mary had a little lamb" in my head.

Dublin, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes, indeed she did grow LOTS in a small amount of time.............could be all of those 12 oz. bottles, around the clock that I've fed her! :) My neighbor actually nicknamed me "The Little 'Ole Lady Who Lived In A Shoe" a couple of years ago! LOLOLOL With the exception of having animals instead of children in excess! :-) I guess we all have our weak spots!

Fayette, MO(Zone 6a)

She does have the most interesting coloring. What breed is she?

Dublin, TX(Zone 8a)

She is a Suffolk lamb. Her momma was colored very similar to her - - - she was beautiful. Kathy, do you also have lambs? If so, what type?

Langley, WA(Zone 7b)

She's adorable!

Belinda - she is beautiful! It is amazing how similar a newborn lamb looks to a newborn goat! I can relate to the houseful of critters - right now I have a baby goat in my kitchen! He is in a dog crate, but nonetheless spoiled.
Congrats on the beautiful baby!

I have quite the mixture of sheep. I do have some suffolks... They aren't quite colored like yours!

Dublin, TX(Zone 8a)

hmstyl - - - I wouldn't have it any other way besides a houseful of critters, it simply wouldn't be home! :-) And as of this morning, my baby chicks arrived (all 26 of them!).......I hope to have some pics posted soon of them.
