I have a Mediterranean Fan Palm (Chamaerops humilis) that, since I recived it from the nursery 3 years ago, has brown spots all over the mature leaves. They are nice and green as they start and progreesively get these spots. I think it's a fungus. What can I do to save the new leaves from this fate...and maybe even cure the effected portion of the plant?
Thanks.
Med. Fan Palm Help?
You might want to ask that in the "Palm & Cycads forum".
If it is fungus-
I poured hydrogen peroxide down the crown of a windmill palm for fungus-rotting (I try to garden as naturally /organically and fungicides...well)
Then sprinkled a little cornmeal around the plant.
Full recovery
Thank you both...I'm now two for two on the peroxide recommendation (one on the Palms & Cycads site). Will take that approach straight away.
