Saying welcome on the cheap

Macclesfield, CHESHIRE(Zone 8a)

Here in the UK at Christmas, if you have SO MANY friends that indivudual greetings are out of the question (time, money, etc..), tradition says you place an advert in the Times of London saying something like "Lord and Lady Tel of The White House, Clinton in the Shires, convey warmest Seasonal greetings all their friends and anyone else who cares to acknowledge they exist".

Well Dave, you're going to have to be my Times of London. With so many Newbies arriving at all hours of the day and night it is hard to keep pace. So, on the cheap, may I say a big WELCOME to all you Newbies. You may find some of us chatty, controversial, or just plain weird, but we are all (mostly) harmless and very enthusiastic about our gardens. Enjoy.

Hello Eltel and All! I have been here a few weeks and realized I probably should have said hi. First I sort of lurked, then posted some photos then got more brave and made and answered some posts. I guess I am feeling pretty comfortable. I have found some friends here I have known for months and years. Today I stumbled across this posting and figured out why I like it here.....must be because I am cheap, "chatty, controversial, or just plain weird, but we are all (mostly) harmless and very enthusiastic about our gardens". LOL Now it all makes sense! I have been trading plants and seeds over the internet for three years and gardening for about eight. I love growing from seed and will try to root about anything I can get hold of.
Thanks for the welcomes, the laughs and the learning!
Michele
