I got caught off guard by a hard freeze and my hibiscus are all sticks... can I cut them all the way back to the ground? They'd been getting leggy anyhow. Other suggestions?

Hi Sellier
Well join the crowd. I think everybody from California to Florida had a hard winter this year. Sellier I suggest you wait until last chance of frost is over (should be very soon for you I think) and then cut them to the third leaf node. Don't cut to the ground...we are talking about tropical hibiscus, rosa sinensis? If so leave three leaf nodes on each branch to give it some space to send new leaves out.
Hope that helps
David
