Chlorophytum 'Fireflash'
NIce bloom and nice to know the name of that house plant I had no clue what it was.
Cool! This is a plant I have on my "Wish List". Locally our Lowe's has it for sale, but the few they have look pretty sick, so I haven't purchased them. I hope some of the garden centers will get them in before long. Do these grow babies like regular ole' spider plants?

Lin if mine makes seeds, I can send them to you. It doesn't make babies the same way as a spider plant but it should make babies.

Oooh, Donna! How fab that Miss Fireflash is bloomin! Mine looks absolutely horrid. I moved it to better light and will try to remember to water it more. I have some babies that someone here at DG sent me last year. They are doing just fine. It was a funny story. We discussed doing a trade and the day before she was to mail the babies, I found a big one at Wal mart for $3!!! LOL
Are they easy to grow from seed? I would love to try it!
Wow, Happy. That is a great deal!! Mine is under lights and most of the time it tends to be on the dry side. Lin, I've heard it supposed to be easy.

Very nice Amaranth! I want one so much! I am hoping our HD will get some in soon! Lowes had about 5 or 6, but they all looked very sickly so I didn't purchase one. They are so pretty with that coloration!
I've noticed them around more lately. Amarantha did you notice that yours has a bloom to?

Funny story about this plant, I've seen it several times at a couple different Home Depots and have been lusting over it, but didn't have the extra money to purchase it, since I'm currently on disability. Well, my husband's employer rewarded his department's safety record with a $50 HD gift card. The next day I was depressed and crying about all the stupid health stuff that has been going on, and since he didn't know what to do with his sad wife, he gave me the gift card to go buy plants with. I (of course) ran right away the next morning to HD and purchased this plant along with another $45 worth. The funniest thing about it though, is that he's always going on about how MORE plants is the last thing on earth I need. The family really got a kick out of his "gift", and it reminded me what I lucky girl I really am to have such a DH :-)
Lucky Indeed! For most men, Dear Husbands or Not, it would probably be very difficult for them to give up a Home Depot Gift Card! My DH loves tools! He would probably split it with me though! :)
You do definitely have a wonderful DH, Amarantha! It's funny how they complain about us having to many plants. DH gave me a plant for Valentines Day. I was shocked....lol.
