A New Cat in the Yard

A couple of weeks ago I saw another cat...it is a battle scarred Tom, Black and White, he is a Manx and he has to be twice the size of Horsie. I was outside today potting some roses...and I heard the Tom singing in the back yard. The gate was closed but I have a cut out in the fence where animals can enter and exit the back yard...I wondered if he would use that...when I opened the gate an hour or so later, the cat was sitting there watching me, he seemed anxious, but not tremendously..I talked to him, and he meowed back and he appeared to be more anxious, so I backed off, giving him room to leave, if he wanted to..he did, but he didn't go very far....he went to the edge of the front of the house and just sat there, watching me. It was then I realized that I had an observor....Horsie, was on the roof, watching the entire thing, he looked annoyed...he caught me, talking nice, to another cat! I will have the camera with me tomorrow, and I will see if I can get some pictures.....
