are you talking about the ones most people call ditch lilies? here we call them native daylilies. they are dark orange and grow about 3ft+ tall? in my case mine are 4-5ft tall. if so i'll have mine up in spring and i can do plants for postage if ya'd like. i need to seperate them again and spring is the easiest to do them since mine have really strong roots on them. if you're interested d-mail me how many ya want if and i'll add you to my spring list and i'll dig those up first before my other stuff.
let me know,

Those are probably the ones. I really can't remember, I think I had those and the ones with the black centers and some with spots and very dark orange. I'll d-mail you later after I pitch some hay for the horses and I can go out and estimate how many I want.

I would still love to have seeds too.

these are a medium to dark orange and about 5" blooms. has multipal flowers that bloom one after another alternateing the whole time through out summer. i know they come up and grow beautiful green for a long time then bloom like all summer and then i had gorgous tall greens till after the first few mild frosts. mine were here when we moved in so some plants are 10+years old. i know they were planted here by the way they are placed and that they are day lilies the flowers last for 1-3 days everyone that opens. it constantly has blooms and lots of them. however i could not tell you what they are called except that here we call them native daylilies because the are not modern day ones.

the others you are talking about sound like candy lilies and blackberry lilies i believe. is that what you mean or are you thinking something other than me? just let me know when you have time no hurray.
thanks,

hmmm...I think of tiger lillies as the really dark orange ones with black spots, they grow upright and have many blooms at the top but more like in the stargazer kind of way......and the black seeds form all along the stem......although I do have the wild or "ditch" lilly as well....

yep..your pic is the one we here call the ditch lily...since they are so prolific gardeners throw the roots in the ditch and they take over...although the ditches are better for it, very pretty.
I had one mutated into a double, so I kept it along with a couple others because they will grow anywhere, so I put a few along the back fenceline until I find something better for there.
I have never seen a pink tiger lily....would be pretty. I get annoyed with mine and have threatened to yank em up if they don't behave cause the little black seeds drop and grow everywhere.

I believe those arent seeds on the tiger lilys they are "bubils" they are acutually mini plants or bulbs.

cool...they sure sprout like a seed, the mice gather them and bury them, and they grow everywhere. I could send them in the mail like seeds though. Yes?

Reynoldsville, PA(Zone 6a)

ty, yes they are very prolific. i have a question. i have never seen seeds or pods for them but they do reproduce good where do i find the seeds to keep them from dropping so much? here is a link to a pink tiger very beautiful. http://www.midcitynursery.com/Bulbs/Pictures/lily-pinktiger.jpg

robin, sorry i couldn't help ya with what you were looking for, hope ya find some seeds they sure are pretty.

they grow along the leaf joints, where the leaf attaches to the stem.

Reynoldsville, PA(Zone 6a)

thank you! now i can save the seeds and plant them where i'd like them rather than all in on place.

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

I want them all. Grandmas garden all of them in it. I just didn't know their names except that she called them her Tiger Lilies. I do remember the orange/reddish ones too. How can I get them all?

North Augusta, ON

well, in the summer I can send you some of both

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

Thank you so much. Let me know how and when LeeAnne.
