ID needed Passiflora

Wharton, TX(Zone 9a)

I purchased this passiflora from Logees a few years ago but they no longer have it. Would like to know the name so I can look for it. Is it easy to grow passiflora from seed?

I had one from Logees that looked like yours. It is called Sapphire. You have to click on their thumbnail to see the blue...

I lost mine, too, but if that is what you had, it is quite special!

It would be best to propagate by cuttings. The seeds would most likely not look like the parent.

Seeds are easy, if they are fresh...

I think hes right

I think it might be sapphire too. I remember the name had a blue color name. It took off like a rocket and made lots of flowers and fruit. I'll see if I can find it somewhere.

Awsome hyperlink. It is definately Sapphire. Now where to find it for sale.

It is very definately P. Saphire. I am not sure who may have it for sale but I'll check around. You will not be able to grow it from seed though. It is a hybrid and even if you did get one to fruit, the seed will most likely not come out like the parent since it is a hybrid.

Thanks for the info Mark. Didn't know you couldn't grow if from seed. If I can find it I will definately take cutting next time around.
