The 30 year old waffle maker was just passed on to us this weekend - DH's folks finally gave it up (hadn't used it in 15 years but nostalgia....) So...I'm making waffles tonight for dinner since we didn't splurge this weekend on anything bad ! I've tested the iron and it heats up like a charm - boy is it heavy!
So, I've got the batter recipe downpat and we'll do the normal blueberries, powdered sugar, butter and syrup, but..... I keep hearing about chicken. I could never do fried chicken and waffles, but just wondering...
Do you who have heard of this "style" think that I could just do some grilled chicken strips, coat with Franks Hot sauce and then the syrup? Would that work? Why am I trying this? LOL - to say that I did :)
