They got bit

Emory, TX(Zone 8a)

I am soooo sad, but maybe it'l be ok.... We had some unusually cold weather this past week...Friday morning it was around 18* when I got up. Even though my geenhouse has been keeping things very well through the winter I guess it just couldn't keep up with that much cold. The wind was blowing too. Anyway some of the brugs in the greenhouse got a little frostbite. These are all from cuttings I got this past summer and fall that I rooted and potted up. I cut off the damage and I think they will be ok. Some of them only lost a few leaves, others lost all the leaves. They can do that and be ok can't they? They seem to be ok on the original cutting part. Mainly only the ones close to the outside were hurt, so I know the interior was not that cold. Some of them were already sprouting a little bit by the time I got to them to cut the damage off.

Sounds like they will be ok - I sure hope so. The weather has just been crazy!

It got down to 22ºF here for a short while. My Brugs are in the large greenhouse, heated by large propane heater, so they were OK, but my little greenhouse didn't fare so well. It has a small electric heater that couldn't keep up with the drop either and the temperature in there dropped down to 34ºF. I hope my orchids survive.
