Really great pics Joan!

Wow, Joan!!! Delightful images! Were you using a tripod, or are you really steady? Sometimes I can get good pics with my 300mm lens, but often I'm shaky (even though my Sony has "Super SteadyShot."

Murmur, I have to have image stabilization on my lens, or I'd get nothing but blurs.

Well, it sure must have worked for these photos, Joan! Yesterday I was at a beach in Seattle, sitting on a bench with my mom. My camera was on my lap (strap around my neck!) with the 300mm lens. Two guys walked by and were teasing me about not having a tripod with such a "serious lens." I just told them I was "really good!" Which I actually am NOT.

When I got my first Digital Rebel (the 300D), I tried TWO 75-300 lenses without IS. That just doesn't work for me.
