What is this?

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

I know it is some kind of jatropha but I do not know which one. I am not sure it made it through our hard freeze (was on a patio covered) and I would like to be able to replace it.

I looked that one up before I posted but I could not make up my mind if the leaves were close enough.

Looks like Jatropha integerrima

Thanks Kyle now I can go about trying to obtain a replacement. It does not look good for my current one.

The leaves on that one often have different shapes. You might want to wait until a warm spell and see if that one does not return. Mine froze one year and came right back from the ground in the spring. They are fast growers.

I have mine in a pot. But I will wait and see if anything happens in the next month or so. I really hope it comes back. This is a fairly large one. Thanks for giving me some hope ardesia.

Mine have not been brought in the entire winter in zone 9a and it was 28 th other night......they can take down to 25 degrees......my brother has had one( down the road from me) for 10 years planted in the ground.....every year it comes back out from the roots and blooms beautifully all summer and fall...

It git down to 19 here for a couple of nights. Not at the the norm. I had it covered on the patio so it was probably a little warmer than the 19 degrees in the rest of the yard.
