Allison gave me this plant,its one of the first one i got from her,i finally pottie it up in this big pot and it has started growing up a storm,i can,t remember what it is are i can,t find it nowhere.i know what it is but this old brain is slow today, i think it has a little white flower with purple in it ,really pretty.has bloomes a few times

It's a gorgous Alsobia Cygnet Eunice wow super growing. Feed her and take off stolons she will bloom more :))
Mine need more light and i have many babies again that need their own pots
I started out with a tiny plant oh 3 plus years ago. Maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch everyone I knew wanted one. I nursed it, Wicked it kept it under close light kept it in a saucer with little VF-11 all the time . This was her in 2 1/2 inch pot.
When grown under light, warm, fed good, stolons taken off this is what she looked like. I grew her into a 12 inch full pot and have given hundreds of babies away from this one plant !
12 inch pot Hubby had a grow light rigged over her. Then when your pot is full let the stolons flow down like they do on Spider plants and they will bloom too given enough light and food she will bloom all the time !
This is a plant that grows like a weed for me and I awlays have babies begging me for their own pots. Mine just are not getting enough light now.
Wow! Allison, I didn't know they got that big! Beautiful Plant! Makes a great hanging basket plant! Do they require as much light or more than AV's? I can't wait to get one!
Yes I will be sending you one. They are more forgiving than Epsicas on humidity and warmth. But give them light lots, warmth, humdity food , evenly moist does not like to dry out and she will have deeper green foliage and bloom all the time !!

it has a lot of long runners so i wraped them around in it.i really don,t want any more of them.i just pinch them off and throw away,i no thats awfull.
i,m trying to cut back on so many violets,i sent gloria a box of 40 not to long ago,they was starter plants,so many has died from the cold.
AWWW Yes I just can't throw them away. Lots of sellers sell a small plant for 5.00 plus shipping and have seen them go much higher on Ebay. But you have to do what you have to do. I've givine hundreds of babies away.
Once I took 35 babies off of Mom and gave each their own pot ! I have a dozen or so that need pots now.
Now by taking off the stolons ( babies) Mom will branch off again in pot and she will also bloom more. I know mine needs light to hardly gets any :((
I need to start a new one and then have Robert rig a grow light over her !
Like my first plant her foliage was deep green and well behaved as I trained her good until she filled a 12 inch pot then I let babies hang down the babies will bloom too !
They only open two flowers at a time so you want your plant to trail and grow as many crowns as possible which she will do herself no pinhing needed just by removing babies !
I just love her flowers.
She is a real Treasure ! Always one of my favrites !

PS yes not good time of year to ship now . Only if you have the thick insulation and 60 hour heat packs best to wait.
Allison, you are just all over this site with more plants......this is extraordinary!!!!! Only you can make them bloom like this...just gorgeous....never even heard of her....

Beautiful plant! We've watched "Over the Hedge" several times this year (with various sets of nieces/nephews), and when I saw the title of the thread, my first thought was... "Let's call it Steve!!"
(In the movie, the animals discover the new hedge, and it's very big and very scary... they think it would be less scary if it had a name, so they decide to call it Steve....)

Yes Laura you may have one too. I have at least 12 plants now in 2 1/2 - 4 inche pots begging for homes with light ! I also have a dozen babies I am going to try to get Hubby to pot up this weekend !!
