The rabbit's foot fern has to be one of my favorite ferns. I generally don't do well with ferns because I don't baby them with the extra humidity they require. I've heard that this particular one likes to lose it's fronds during the winter. I've even heard of a few "near coronaries" for some owners. I've had mine since Fall, I think. It has lost lots o fronds, but still seems to be doing okay. I'm looking forward to a rebound in the Spring. So, my question is about propagating. I just read in the Ortho Houseplant book that you can cut the extra rhizomes off and root them. Do any of you have experience doing this? If you do, what kind of conditions did you give the rooting rhiz and how long did it take to root? Thanks!
