Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope you're having a great, peaceful Valentine's Day!
Although there's a blizzard outside, I have a red bulb in bloom to celebrate. If you do too, please post a pic!!

This is Hippeastrum Carina with 4 out of 6 blooms open.

Hip hip hooray for the Carina. Lovely red on this rouge day. No snow here, just a good ol nor'easter today with the barometer dropping to a low of 28.85 which is very low (hurricane numbers) with some good strong wind. The girls spent most of the day hunkered down inside. I ordered a nice looking Hippeastrum called Amaryllis Grandeur on sale from Easy to Grow Bulbs. I wanted a couple of things from them ( 20 Gladiolus nanua 'Albus' and a Crocosmia Voyager and a Sandersonia ) so I threw in a couple of other things and I could not not order the hippeastrum.
