CLOSED: Variations On A Color Swap

Please read carefully, this entire post before you sign up.

This swap is variations on a color. I’ve chosen red and blue for this one. The colors have been divided into four. Each participant will choose either red or blue then the color range.

Example: choosing Red 4 means you will provide seeds of flowers that are very dark red (fall into the color range of number 4). Red 1 would mean flowers that are light red (NOT PINK).

There will be 8 participants. 1 for each color and range. You only need to send 8 packets of seeds for the color and range you chose.

You may decorate the packs of seeds and please put your screen name on them. Also write the word Variations and your screen name on the outside of the envelope which should include a return address label and postage.

Homegrown or bought seeds are ok.

Do not send any seeds until the list is full and closed.

X, I can take blue 4 but in your opnion would it border on deep blue almost black? I have a few really deep blue seeds but I have to dig out the pics. I have in my mind a Heliotrope but it may be too purple??

The list is full. Remember to put your screen name on the seed packets and on the outside of the envelope. All you need to do is send 8 packets of the color you picked!

Would there be any objection to putting a small wax-paper packet of "black peony" poppy seeds inside a baggy of red sunflower seeds? The number of seeds of each are small, but together, they make a nice contribution. If I don't hear anything by noon tomorrow, I'll go ahead and do it.

(ps - this is a great combination for growing an early and late plant in the same spot while maintaining the same color scheme)

Mine went out today.The timing was perfect : ) I sent both this and Van Gough's Starry Night Swap in same BE in separate baggies labeled for each swap along with return label and postage.Hope this is alright?

You have not highlighted my name so I am now concerned the seeds are lost . I posted them on the 20th of Feb so they should have arrived a long time ago.

Not to worry .. I picked up more packets today at the post office but havent had a chance to look at them yet. I'll get back to you asap.

I don't know if you received Riverland's seeds, but I have a suggestion. What would you think about taking out the Black Peony Poppy seeds that I put each baggy of Red Velvet Sunflower seeds and making the poppy seeds Riverland's contribution so she can receive her part of the swap?

Thank you blue that is so sweet. I have plenty of seeds just thought this would be fun. I can also resend the seeds if I knew they were lost.

I think I got my seeds yesterday. Thanks to all for the seeds. Blue I think I am going to plant the poppy and sunflowers you sent together and see what I get.
