I had to hunt for the pamphlet that I got in 1978 from Quaker Oats. One of the recipes in the book is the Green Bean Casserole but using the Crunch instead of the canned onions.
Savory Add-A-Crunch
2 cups Quaker Oats
1/2 cup butter or margerine, melted
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
!/3 cup wheat germ, unprocessed bran, or chopped nuts, if desired
1/4 teaspoon onion or garlic salt
Combine all ingredients; mix well. Bake in an ungreased 15 1/2x10 1/2 jelly roll panon preheated moerate oven
(350º) 15 to 18 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool; store in tightly covered container in refrigerator up to 3
months. Sprinkle over salads, soups, casseroles or vegetables.

Variation: Add 1 teaspoon Oregano leaves ane 1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves to mixture before baking.
