Harbor Freight has greenhouses on sale

(Mary) Poway, CA(Zone 10a)

Have you seen their new flyer? They've got a 10 x 12 for only $699. You can never be too thin, or have too many greenhouses.

LOL Mary. Oh I wish I had the space!!

Central, LA(Zone 8b)

The deciding factor for me is that the sale is only lasting until Feb. 26, 2007. I ordered mine Friday before it goes up to $719.99.

We went to our local Harbor Freight to look at boys toys today, and he said "If you want one, it'd sure help me to know so I could get it for you for Valentine's Day. " Tee hee! No brugs would have to be left outside to fend for themselves next winter if I have a 2nd greenhouse!

Sanity has reigned at my house and I turned down the 2nd greenhouse. Too much else to do here first. The most tempting offer my husband ever made ..... and one I bet he regreted as soon as it was out of his mouth. LOL Someone told me that they have that sale every few months anyway, so it's not out of the question forever.

I ordered the second one, the 8 x 6 one, this fall. I took one look at the assembly instructions and sent it back. Shipping alone was like $50. The box arrived really torn up. Anyway, assembly would have taken forever so make sure you have someone that can help you if you buy one. I know others that bought it and did assemble it. Here is a picture that belongs to fellow gardener Dennis. I think this is the bigger one, the first one listed.

Here is a finished one. This one belongs to Linda.

I thought somewhere there was a guy that gave good instructions on how to strengthen that greenhouse when you first put it up so it was a pretty good one. Can't remember where. Someone else might.

But, isn't that the same price they had on it last fall? $599? Mary, I think you said $699. Take another look.

I made a mistake/typo - it IS $599.00

Someone on the greenhouse forum put a link to putting together the smaller one - which is even harder than the bigger one according to the grapevine.

I bought a portable green house from Harbor Freight a couple years ago. The box came so torn that parts had fallen out. LOL. They did send replacements.

Indianapolis, IN

Its 599.00 for the 10x12 untill Feb.26 and they also have a smaller one for low low low price of 299.00 and its 6x8 and it goes up 399.00 Feb 26.I think I will pick one up and they're in stock. To cold today and tomarrow!

Delisa, how long do you have your portable gh up? Whoops, I see you are in FL so you probably use it for most of the year? I only put mine up in mid April and take it down around the end of May. I use it more to just harden the plants off and do all the repotting on the annuals and other seeds I have started in the house.

I start my seeds in the house soon now. The brug seeds I do now, and then the petunias are next. Then the rest just kind of get planted depending on how long they take to germinate.
