Hi everyone - I have an area under a staircase that is 80cm deep and decided to make something for that place - but at such depth, one needs to sacrifice some space to produce something presentable. Alternatively, I thought, as book shelves need about 20 - 25cm depth and the remaining 55 - 60 cm is a good depth for drawers, what about a drawer that has first the looks of a book shelf and behind it are the means to store less sightly items? And I began drawing, and redrawing, and thinking, and now, about 18 months later I am about to finish the giant thing - and I still wonder if it will work or collapse.
