Back after being MIA for a few years...

Fort Edward, NY(Zone 5a)

I believe my last post on Daves Garden was in June, 2003 right after our newborn son was picked up at the hospital. We were waiting to adopt for so long, everything turned into a whirlwind. Turned out, soon after we picked the baby up at the hospital, his 1 year old sister joined us. We have since adopted them both, and consequently moved 3 times due to job problems DH was having.

We are now finally settled down-permanently I hope-into a house on a beautiful piece of land, so I can start gardening again. My children are starting preschool in a week or so, so I finally have some "me" time to come into Daves with a cup of coffee, and zone out for a little while. Don't know if anyone remembers me, but I know I recognize a number of names from back then....

Thanks Garden6, it is wonderful to be back! I am having so much fun mapping out this new yard. I will be planting plenty of Hellebores, Roses, Calla Lillies and Clematises-all from co-ops from daves. There is an established garden area here already-as soon as things start growing in the spring, I will have a better idea of what is planted in it. I see through the snow-ornamental grasses in a number of spots and I definately see Rhododendroms.
