CLOSED: Anyone have alstromeria- sweet laura?
I don't actually have it, but wow, isn't it gorgeous!!!
I have one called Spring Delight, which is apricot - pink colour.............. beautiful pant and very very hardy!!
Mr C,
Yes I think all the alstromeria are very beautiful, but only a few will survive our harsh winters...
Sandy
Hi Dale! Thank you for the email... your info is greatly appreciated and very useful!
Isn't it just the loveliest?!
There are so many bulbs and plants that don't grow in my zone that i sure wish they did!!
Thank you again for the worthy note!
Sincerely,
Sandy
I received a catalog yesterday from Brent and Becky's and they have this plant. They are 1/$10 or 5/$35. (They actually have 3 varieties and Sweet Laura is one of them). I have bought from them before and been pleased. You can always check Garden Watchdog and see what other people's experiences have been.
There is a great place that I have gotten plants from called Buggy Crazy(great Watchdog rating too!) She has them for sale and it is the best price ever 3 for $10. They say they are hardy to zone 5. So at that price, it's worth a try.

Shug and mag, thank you both also for the helpful info as to places to buy these plants! It is very my appreciated! thank you again- and not bad prices either!

Sandy, buggycrazy is an awesome vendor, and she (Lisa) is very honest and knows her product. She is good to point out weak points about a plant as well as its virtues, and quickly responds to any questions through email. Did any of you notice that she said she detected no scent from 'Sweet Laura'?
Thanks Neal! i will have to check her out.... already spent a bundle tho - in getting new plants for this season.
But maybe ;-)
Sandy
