I'm sure these are putting up new leaf growth in the frozen ground here. When would be the best time to dig/move these?...and exactly how should they best be handled?
TIA for any help.

Lycoris Squamigera-best time to dig?
As the leaves are yellowing in late spring is the best time I've found to move them; they're starting to go dormant and its easy to see exactly where to dig. After blooming is fine too, but some of the offsets may not be big enough to bloom, so use care when digging to keep from slicing up bulbs. They tend to sulk the first year after dividing with fewer blooms, but will settle in and be fine thereafter. Hope that helps.

Thank you!...and yes, I do know how easy it is to dig too close, and slice into some of them b4 I even know it.
