Not only did I find three of them, they weren't sitting in water at all...now I have to promise to quit chasing around for more plants and take care of what i do have (LOL) (not really)!!

after I catch up this spring with all that I have to do ....I would love to send more packages...Give me a little time to catch on on packing ,etc....I begged for boxes everywhere i went today for shipping plants which I need to be doing....where do you buy your boxes, etc????

The Post Office will deliever them to your home free. I like the shoe box, small like sqaure and large priority boxes. Need larger box tape two large ones together cost almost the same to ship two together than one box. We still get the free priority tape at Post Office too !

Gingerose....they looked like they came in today....not one was missing on the shelf and they only had these three which had variegated leaves, so check daily....they were really looking good and not overwatered, so you know they are newly arrived.
If I haf been with you we would have had to take them all home HEHE

as a matter of fact , yes they are Allison.....i just realized that they all had red sleeves on them with gold thread....don't worry I will save you one (even though you have ' fancy pancy' ones at home...these are still cute)..
No I don't have any Fancy Pansey ones . I sold all my plant stands and lights last summer. I have a handful of Av's. Eunice sweet Pie sent me a gift card for Christmas for Bluebirds I got 6 Av's...and I have a couple Gesneriads all grown from leaf and they keep having babies... Some Begonias. Hubby takes care of them all for me !
Maybe when the masterbedroom gets done this Summer I can have a window with flowers back in the bedroom. I just feel bad as my room is dark most the time I sleep so much and the light bothers my eyes.
I'll tell you these beauties you have been getting at Wally World are much more beautiful than the plants you order from sellers.
you got it, my friend.............have a friend coming in tomorrow through the weekend...she wants to buy a house down here but she LOVES plants the same way I do....next week I am going to get all my boxes out.....you will be getting a Valentine's present late.
Oh that will be nice if your friend buys a home by you ! I can't wait to see all your gardens this Spring and Summer !

Bettygail: I get all my Priority Boxes free from the P.O. too. I used to go to the P.O. and ask for them, but they would never have many in stock in the size I wanted, so I did like Allison suggested, went on line to usps.com and placed an order and my mailman left them all right at my front door! Sooo easy and Free! And, Priority Shipping is pretty cheap too ... anywhere from $4.50 - $10.00 per box, depending on size!
Don't you just love these AV's with the pretty pink flowers and that variegated foliage! My Favorites so far! I need to go to our two other Wal-Mart's in town and check them out. The one closest to me had only the 2 when I got them. If I find more, I will definately get them, some to keep, some to share!

Here's a sad story. Montgomery County MD will not allow WalMart to build a store. The closest is in PG County and their garden center is closed for the winter. Drat!

And we have 3 Wal-Mart SUPER CENTER'S here in our area! And they are talking of building another one. The one closest to me is @ a quarter of a mile away, the next closest is 2 miles and the 3rd is about 5-6 miles. The one they are planning is about half a mile .... I know some folks despise Wal--Mart. I like the store for some of the prices, but DO NOT think we need that many in one area. And, that's there are two others in the county that I know of also, one in Deland, about 25 miles west and another in New Smyrna Beach, just south of us! That's 6 Super Centers in one County that I know of ! I guess theres a maket for them, or we wouldn't have so many!
Nanna: Maybe Montgomery County MD has something there .... I can just see some day a bunch of vacant dilapidated HUGE empty stores sitting along the sides of the road .... sorta like some of the K-Marts that closed down in the South.
Mine , both at Lowes and Walmart, say they are grown by Aldershot in Mesilla, NM..which is really part of Las Cruces, NM. In '89 I went down to NM State there in Las Cruces to take some horticultural courses. I think that Aldershot works closely with the hort dept. at New Mexico State University....
HI, I'm new to DG. But I did run to wally world and they didn't have any Tommie Lou variegated foliage on any of their violets. It was a cold day and not a happy condition for AV's. I'm gonna go tomorrow and see if they are marking some down. The flowers are spent. I did purchase two that had what was left of pretty flower heads. and SAVED them from being even colder and wetter in their outside environment. They are now in my isolation room to recover. But I'd jump at TL foliage, I just love it.

Oh no!!! I hate you.....I have already promised my other 2 to 2DG people.....where did you find these???? At Lowe's or Walmart.....because I think you get your shipments ahead of us???? I can still look for another variegated foliage pink one.....don't you make trades for all of those.....I will gladly pay you !!!!!!! If I can't find another variegated pink one, I can start propagating them....I should have dmailed you, but oh well.....let me please know where you found and when??? I just have to have an 'envious personality'.....but I do!!!(only with plants)

Which one are you talking about that you love so much??the purple one with Tommie lou leafs OR.. the pink one with green edge ..I have a baby leaf growing on this one ..It's ready to be potted up in a 3 oz. cup..But of course I have ALL 3 of the purple ones big ,full and beautiful
OK....let me think...I most definitely will trade you my pink variegated one for a 3 oz. cup of the pink one with green edge. As, for the purple variegated one.....let me throw out some possibilities for another trade of one of your purple variegated ones....i want it so much,too....let me put on my thinking cap and get back to you tomorrow about the variegated purple trade....why can't i stick a 10.00 bill in there or name a plant you like...I have them all over the house....

cedarnest...we really have been lucky.....I am sitting in a town of 3000 people......but we have Walmarts and Lowes everywhere around us.....I am definitely going back tomorrow afternoon and ask when the new shipments are coming in.....Gingerose is usually about 3 days ahead of our shipments....if you want, I will be happy to look for you.....they are sooooooooooo expensive (2.49 LOL)......can you even believe it....seriously, if you are a lover of AV....I will look for you....just dmail me .....after church i will read my mail before i go back over....
