What a philodendron ! ! !

Miami, FL(Zone 10a)

Just got this Hybrid which I think is more beautiful than the "VERRUCOSUM "
It is a cross of the P. Andreanum X P. Verrucosum. So far I haven't find out
the proper name.
One outstanding characteristic is the red petiole covered with 1/16 of an inch
long , yellowish pencil thin lines, going in the same direction of the petiole, without
touching each other. It can be seen in my next image.
The leaves are velvety and get to a nice size, mine are 9 inches long already,
and with very defined lighter color veins. The undersides are redish as it will show
in my next image.

Where are you finding these beauties? You're making me crazy!!

Louisville, KY

This is a old hybrid done by Keith Henderson out of Australia. He did a lot of verricosum hybrids but non really recieved names.

I have his Gloriosum X verricosum
Ornatum X verricosum
Adreanum X Verricosum
He also did Gigas x Verricosum I hope to get this this year.

I am growing all of them but the last as of yet. I have a friend who is looking for more of his old hybrids.

here is a pic of my mother plant I took this yesterday. I have gotten leaves almost to 3 feet long. It is one of the best velvet forms to grow.
