A family up the street has moved out of their rental house and left 3 kittens. I stopped yesterday evening and asked if they were going to take them, the man said he couldn't catch them. They have a mama cat that is constantly having kittens and when that happens, they call the pound to come get the older kittens that are there. I am pretty sure thats where Floozy and Big Red came from, but not sure..
Anyway, while driving past the house today, I saw one of the kittens out there and stopped and tried to coax it to me, but no luck. I then spotted the rest of them, they used to go in and out of a hole in the bottom of the garage door, but the poeple blocked it so now they are outside, lost and lonely..(poor little babies..) I came home, got my DD and took some traps and cat food over there, we set up 3 traps, immediately caught one of the young ones, the others were not interested to be anywhere around where we might look at them..so we re-positioned the traps to a more secluded place by the side of the house and brought the one that we caught home..
Now he is in the cage, wondering what the he** happened to his freedom. Little does he know that this (hopefully) will be the best thing that has happened to him/her..(have not looked yet.) We went back to see if we had any luck with the other 2, but nope...so will continue checking on them all day. Hopefully we will be able to catch them all and make sure they are fed and safe..
Here is the one I already have..
Here I go again.....or do I really need more kitties??
