Does anyone know what this black stuff is on this leaf and what could have caused it? I am so scared now that all of my plants will catch it. It was one of the ones that I got for free from Bluebird's. I don't think they knew it was sick and I think it looked fine when I brought it home. Please help.
Thanks,
Jesse
Black on leaf
Boy, I hope someone knows what is wrong. That is awful even if was free.
I know. I'm in a panic right now not knowing what to do. Do I throw it out? Or do I pray that it will be okay? Anyone have any ideas?
Jesse
Is it on more than one leaf? Is it spreading or just staying the same? It looks more like damage from contact with something plant-unfriendly than bug damage etc... have you sprayed with anthing lately? Is there any chance that water got on the leaf and then the plant got too cold?
I would certainly isolate it as far from other plants as possible, until you figure it out... I'm sure you could also call Bluebird's on Monday and see if they have any ideas (eg, whether something of the sort has shown up on any of their AVs over the weekend, especially ones grown near where yours was).
Is the leaf wet, cold and mushy ? Did cold water spill on it ? and it is rotting ?
Hopefuly it is not a virus these spread and nothing can be done for them but burn get rid of everything :((
Isolate all new plants and leaves, becareful of plants coming in for the Winter too.
I'm thinking along the same lines as Jill The line might be where the leaf rested on a cold pot. Do the leaves touch anything?
