your opinion/experience please

i have a 5 year old nuetered husky/lab mix. i would like to get a companion for him. i'm particularly wanting a husky mix with a sport or hound breed. --- my experience has been that female cats and dogs are different in the way they interact. the females being less playful and more cuddly, and the males being more playful and affectionate yet not cuddly. --- i would like some feedback, so i can consider whether a selection of male or female makes a difference. what do you think? thank you, barb
