Skaz421: What are you looking for ?
I'm really not looking for anything but I have lots of extra's around the house and may be going to the post office this week( if the weather holds up. ) to send things to another DGer.

If You let me know what your looking for and I have it would be happy to send you something.

Thanks,
GG

GG,

I'm looking for some EEs I don't have:

a. Borneo Giant
a. Plumbea 'Nigra' (aka Metallica)
a. Wentii
c. Gigantea
x. Lime Ginger

Also, I'm looking for tropicals that have dark/burgundy or bright green foliage, or plants with flowers that are burgundy, deep red, or cream/white, either annuals or perennials.

and will check to see if I have the other two I think I may have.

You did mean lime Zinger right?

Wesley Chapel, FL(Zone 9a)

GG,

Yes, I meant Lime Zinger. Sorry - don't know where my head was on that one.

I have a Lime Zinger with some nice pups that is overwintering in my sunroom. If you are interested I could send it out next month as we are very cold right now.

I've been looking for musa, do you know the variety you have.

I also have canna 'tropicanna' tubers (have to give them a glance to see how they're overwintering) and starter plants of begonia 'fireworks'.

Wesley Chapel, FL(Zone 9a)

The musa I have is Manzano - Apple Banana. The fruit is supposed to be delicious, with a slight apple taste to it.

I actually have a few of them - I could mail one when things warm up there a bit.

Many years ago, I lived in West Haven. I went to school at UCONN in Waterbury. The company I worked for sold pianos and organs, and had a store in a mall in Waterbury - I was there a lot.

Let me know about the musa.

Hi Steve,

Very, very small world. UCONN Waterbury has a completely new campus across the street from the Palace (restored also). The old mall is gone and a new one was built off 84 about 10 years ago. I'm not sure how long ago you left.

That particular banana is tooo big, I was thinking of the hardy banana's I see.

A colacasia 'Black Magic' pup or a canna 'Richard Wallace' tuber would be nice though.

Either way I can certainly send a former Connecticut Yankee a Lime Zinger pup if you would like.

Thanks, JoAnn

JoAnn,

A Lime Zinger pup would be nice. I can send c. Black Magic and Richard Wallace canna - tell me when you're ready.

I'm actually a Massachusetts Yankee - born and raised. I lived there until 2 years ago.

I lived in CT only while working that job. The company I worked for was Keyboard Center; they went under in the late 70s.

GG,

This nice lady from Connecticut offered me the Lime Zinger.

I know what you're going through, with the back problems. I've had lots of surgeries, which didn't do anything, except hurt. Years of narcotics, physical therapy, nerve blocks, you name it, nothing helped. I finally ended up with an intrathecal pump, and it's wonderful - it's kept me out of a wheelchair, and given me my life back again.

Let's hope you don't have to go that route; take care of it, and good luck.

Great, Glad you can get one.
My back is better today,
But never really know when its going to give out
on me.

It also doesnt help to have to carry around a little one.

Ok for now ,

GG - didn't kow you were carrying. I'm sure it doesn't help. I hope everything works out OK for you.

Steve
