More groundhog poems and Phil's lousy accuracy record

If Candlemas Day is bright and clear,
There'll be two winters in the year.

For as the sun shines on Candlemas Day,
So far will the snow swirl until May.

So far will the sun shine before May.

If the sun shines on Groundhog Day;
Half the fuel and half the hay.

While the citizens of Punxsutawney, PA, swear that Phil's prediction has never been wrong, he has seen his shadow about 90% of the time since they started keeping records in 1887 - a lowly accuracy rate of approximately 40%.

(Since with only two choices he has a 50/50 chance of being right, his actual accuracy is lower than chance.)
