The worst destruction was just minutes north of here. I hear thunderstorms all night long and high winds, but feel blessed none of that terrible stuff came here. I think the last count was 20 people had died because of the tornados. Man, it has been a rough decade thus far for Florida!
Delisa is fine. I heard she had a large branch down in the yard but no other damage.
Whew! Glad your okay Liz.. that was close huh? Those poor people.. I just felt so bad.
Gary thank you so much for the news about Delisa.. I was freaked out this morning.
I saw the pictures too last night. They were just terrible.
i had a few Branches come down late last night . but it was ok as i lost my home in Huracane Jean a Giant Oak Tree came tho the place i was in there
The limb was huge and from a oak. It smashed off all the limbs below it and now my husbands shade garden is a sun garden. He has been at the stuff with the chainsaw, the claw thing machine, and the trailer to haul it to the burn pile all day.
This whole area in the photo WAS covered by tree limbs.
PS the small blue building by the house is NOT an outhouse. Its a water shed lol.
Are you sure?? Kind of looks like an outhouse to me. LOL!
PS Oh Paul, that is just terrible to lose your home.

So what is John going to plant now in his sun garden? I see a big EE to the right there. That old oak is just a delight. Has losing the branch ruined its looks?

He had to take out all the gingers, EE's (variegate, voilet stem, and a couple other kinds).
I told him it would be a good place for me to park my truck. Every place there is to park is covered by trees. He is not going to go for that. He brought in lots of dirt for that garden this year.
LOL Paul I swear its not an outhouse! One of my friends told me that light is so fancy I must be expecting the Queen of England for tea!
Queen Of England ? Back in the Late 1800s they use to make a Chamber pot with Queen Victorias Face Painted in side on the Bottom the Company that made theam got in to lots of Royal trouble
With my warped sense of humor I'd probably get one of those half moon mirrors that look like windows, and make it look like an outhouse. When I was 4 years old 2 neighborhood bad boys, that later grew up to be thugs put me down the hole of an old outhouse. It hadn't been used in 20 years or so, but it was still dark and scary. I figure I can blame that for all my wackiness. LOL Actually, I barely remember it.
Sorry about the damage to the tree and garden. So John has his own garden besides the trail of shame?! Wish all men were like him!

Sorry about the tree, Delisa. I doubt you'll get DH talked into letting you park there especially if he's hauled in a lot of good dirt.

Really Ada, what a scary thing for a 4 year old or even older! How deep are outhouses?
John does seem like quite a catch and luckily your yard is so huge Delisa, no fighting over space. You are so lucky!
